The continuous lead sheathing extruder type YQL 200/5 is designed with innovation to compound lead sheath over cables or vulcanize rubber pipe, which is integrated with the advanced experience in the domestic and abroad same kind of machine
Outer diameter of lead layer is ф40～ф160mm.
The machine performs continuous extrusion of lead with the vertical rotation of a screw to transit the lead upward, which is able to ensure equal thickness of lead on the longitudinal line of the lead pipe. Due to the strict control of temperature on each part, the extruding pressure and temperature can remain constant so that it is possible to keep the difference in lead thickness within a minimum.
As the melting furnace, the purifying & holding furnace and the liquefied lead conveyed are enclosed, vaporization from lead can be greatly reduced. Therefore this extruder basically does not cause pollution to the environment.
This extruder is light in weight, and involves low labor intensity in operation, and takes a comparatively small area.

The extruder extrudes pure lead or alloy lead, and the ideal composition of alloy lead is as follows:

5Features for Main Composition
5.1. Active Loading ingot Unit with Rollers
5.1.1. It adopts the L type motor to transfer, then the ingot slides into the melting furnace via rollers, it is convenient for storing the lead ingot and easy for operator, the transportation length is about 1200mm, which reduce the labor strength.
5.1.2. The two ends of rollers for inlet lead ingot are fixed on the transferring frame and furnace so that lead ingot can easily slip into the furnace.
5.2. 18T melting furnace
1) Furnace capacity: 18T(2sets)
2) work temperature: 360～380℃
3) Heating power: 141kW×2
4) Hearth of melting furnace is welded with 3 layers of welding lines, which prohibits from leaking. External wall and bottom of hearth are laid asbestos board and Aluminum silicate fiber board with thickness of above 100mm, which has good holding performance.
5) Furnace chamber is divided into melting zone, mixing& refining zone and holding zone, each zone connects with the inlet lead passage through upper overflow pipe and bottom gate, around the furnace is deployed with measuring points of measuring thermocouples.
6) Above the heating zone of furnace is covered with enclosed housing, which is equipped with exhaust exit flange.
7) On furnace top cover is equipped with controller of molten lead level, which controls in 3 grades and accurately control height of molten lead level and pressure of output lead.
8) To open/close the furnace door is finished with pneumatic valve, which reduces a lot of labor strength.
5.3. Ω pipe
It is used to transfer lead between the melting furnace and the purifying & holding furnace, and between the purifying and holding furnace and the extruding machine.
While molten lead is transferred, the temperature of Ω pipe is 360 - 380℃
The lead transfer pipe is shaped like Ω because it expands due to heating while the molten lead is heated in the holding furnace and lead transfer pipe.
At the lead inlet entry to the host extruding machine there is a stearic container so that it can satisfy processing requirements in the pipe during production.
Heaters for Ω pipe adopt copper with shape of half of round, which makes heat evenly

Gear box of extruder is of horizontal structure with leakage proof treatment, motor is connected with spiral bevel gear, the other gears is forged with alloy steel and cast steel and manufactured with fine finish rolling.
Axial die adjusting and die unloading at the entry of die are from the electric hydraulic station, which is convenient to adjust the thickness of lead layer and replace the die stock and die tip.
Wall thickness of lead pipe is achieved by the 4 screws to adjust the die cover.
At the exit of die is mounted a special spraying unit to supply for the cooling and crystallization of lead layer.
Supply two sets of die cases and die tips for test instead of production.
5.5. Gear Lubricant Oil System (one lubricant pump is for use , the other is for spare)
The gear box is oil stored tank, its whole structure for the machine is reasonable and compact.
The lubricant oil line consists of oil pump, filter, coolers(5㎡), pressure gauge, etc.
Lubricant oil enters into the gear box in 5 lines and sprays lubricant oil on contact points of gears and each bearing
5.6. Internal Water circulating & Cooling System(shift by manual or in automatic control)
It consists of two control systems- glass pipe manual flowage meter and proportional ratio valve.
Internal cooling water tank for the machine is on the ground , which is stainless steel tank with 1.5m³.
It consists of cooling water pumps (one for use one for spare), safety valve, level controller, 20m2 heat exchanger , etc.
Clean soft water is pumped and goes through 3 lines to heating zones of upper, middle, down of extruding barrel and circulates.
Automatic control adopt proportional ratio valve from Siemens China.
5.7. Rear Water Cooling System
It consists of cooling water spraying pipe and subsequent spraying pipe for stainless steel laundry, which can make the second cooling for the crystallization of lead layer and crystallized lead sheath at the exit of die.
At the rear of laundry is mounted with air compressed wiper to dry the surface of lead sheath.
5.8. Vertical single guide roller frame for inlet and outlet cables
Material of vertical single guide roller frame is of plastic such as nylon, its height could be adjustable, it helps to support the cable going in or out of hole of die stock to ensure the cable not to be scratched or damaged.
