On September 28, after four years of efforts by the team, China's first 10-kilovolt, 400-meter three-phase coaxial high-temperature AC superconducting cable was put into production in Shenzhen. The three-phase coaxial superconducting cable developed and put into production this time is the most compact superconducting cable with the least amount of strip material and the most difficult to develop. The project team has made major breakthroughs in the overall design and manufacture of superconducting cable system, the development of domestic GM refrigerator with large cooling capacity and other key technologies, realizing 100% localization of key equipment and filling the domestic technological gaps.
This is the world's first superconducting cable to be used in the center of a super-large city, and the key equipment is 100% domestic, indicating that China has fully mastered the key core technology of superconducting cable design, manufacturing and construction.
